Norm Zocher Quintet

Guitarist and composer Norm Zocher brings his genre-bending Quintet to the Lawrence and Alma Berk Hall. This concert, which draws from the jazz, classical, and rock traditions, features Zocher on guitars, fellow faculty members Mimi Rabson on violin, Rebecca Shrimpton on voice, Abby Aronson on bass, with Mike Connors on drums. The band will perform Zocher’s “Rock Ethic”, which was commissioned by Rabson with a Berklee grant, was featured in Strings magazine, premiered in New York City, released on Affetto Records, and performed around the globe by former Metropolitan Opera Orchestra concertmaster Elmira Darvarova. The concert will also include Zocher’s work, “Slow and Heavy,” which has been performed by the Berklee World Strings.
