Virtual Event

Berklee Summer in the City 2020 is a free, weekly virtual music series every Thursday from July 16 through August 27, featuring a Berklee performer presenting one of their favorite popular summer releases on Berklee’s Facebook page, Instagram TV (IGTV), and YouTube channel.

This week, Atomic Guava will perform “Nice to Meet Ya” by Meghan Trainor and Nicki Minaj. For more information and a full list of shows, read the press release.

About the Artist

Atomic Guava is a rising alt-metal project founded by Martin Gonzalez (guitarist, composer, producer) and Elizabeth Hull (vocals, keyboards). What began as a school project morphed into a three-song self-titled EP (released in November 2019), and after the band was scouted at their very first performance, they were booked to play the 2020 Epicenter Festival. Following this early burst of success, the band released the single "I Meant Every Word" (in January 2020) and added Sander Tolner (guitar) and Augusto Bussio (drums) to the band, as well as in-studio team members Samuel Huertas (bass) and Mike Midura (Xylosynth). Unfazed by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the now six-piece outfit steadily chipped away at their sophomore EP, which is now scheduled for launch in August 2020. It's clear by their playful sound and infectious stage performances that this not-so-little-anymore college band was built on the love of music, with the intention of blowing minds everywhere.
