This talk and concert addresses how jazz musicians created jazz standards by playing songs from Broadway musicals, featuring examples by Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans.
 

The Rhythm Method string quartet presents a concert of contemporary music, including pieces by Berklee writing students. 
 

The annual Fall Brass Showcase is a department-wide competition featuring three of the top bands selected from a pool of audition submissions. These exceptional ensembles will compete for the chance to be featured alongside our special guest at the Spring Brass Showcase.
 

Eclectic jazz pianist and composer Andrew Fogel sets out to finally make his parents proud and play his original jazz compositions. Stop by for a joyful night of jazz, soul, and love.
 

Auditioned Berklee vocal students perform arrangements and original compositions developed specifically for this night, aimed at bringing out the uniqueness of each performer. The students are accompanied by Peter Eldridge on piano and vocals, and full rhythm section.
 

The Bebop Guitars is a student guitar ensemble consisting of five guitars and rhythm section. The music features original arrangements and compositions by faculty leader John Baboian. The style ranges from jazz and Latin to blues.
 

Students from Peter Eldridge's Vocal Perspectives of Songwriters class perform songs developed through the course of the semester in an intimate setting.
 

This concert features contemporary jazz for five guitars and rhythm section.

Three finalists will be selected to perform a 15-minute set with their bands or chamber ensembles at the Al Natale Scholarship Concert.


 

Students from Peter Eldridge's Art of Song Reinvention class perform songs developed throughout the semester with full rhythm section (and Eldridge on piano). They will explore a wide variety of genres and styles, from old soul tunes to pop trash to jazz.
