Pianist Mark Shilansky presents a program of jazz and world music written and inspired by composer Vince Mendoza, whose music has been recorded by jazz luminaries such as Michael Brecker, John Scofield, and Luciana Souza, and who has written arrangements for pop artists such as Joni Mitchell and Björk. Shilansky explores Mendoza's music in small group settings, from trio to multi-horn ensembles, featuring a variety of Berklee faculty guests.

Pianist, composer, and Berklee and Harvard Piano Professor Laszlo Gardony invited Stan Strickland and Christian Artmann to join his long-standing trio for this concert.

This talk and concert addresses how jazz musicians created jazz standards by playing songs from Broadway musicals, featuring examples by Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans.

The Piano Department presents fifth-semester performance majors in a solo piano recital featuring a wide range of styles.

Hey Rim Jeon, professor in the Piano Department, leads a solo piano concert featuring students from her course, Solo Piano Improvisations of Keith Jarrett, as well as from her private studio. Students will demonstrate Jarrett’s improvisational techniques and improvise their own piano solos.

Anastassiya Petrova, an Ensemble Department faculty member and multi-keyboardist, presents a program of jazz originals and selected covers, joined by dear friends. Her original works reflect on the hardships of life, transitions, celebrations, and her experiences in New York City. The program also includes music by female composers and arrangements of well-known standards.
