Violinist Ben Powell '09 will headline the Salem Jazz and Soul Festival at Derby Square. Powell has shared the stage with greats such as Herbie Hancock, Steve Gadd, Gary Burton, Joe Lovano, Gloria Estefan, Paul Simon, Abe Laboriel, Stevie Winwood and Philip Bailey. He has also enjoyed the honor of playing for First Lady Laura Bush and Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan.
