Ralph Peterson’s Aggregate Prime

Aggregate Prime is a cutting-edge quintet led by drummer, composer, and educator Ralph Peterson. The group’s newest album, Venture Inward, was recorded live at the Side Door Jazz Club in Connecticut. It is Peterson’s 21st record as a leader and seventh on his Onyx Productions music label. The recording captures the spontaneity and adventurous nature of the band with six compositions, including an original by Peterson dedicated to his mother and the Mothers of the Movement group against social injustice.

Aggregate Prime is composed of Peterson, Gary Thomas (tenor saxophone and flute), Mark Whitfield (guitar), Curtis Lundy (bass), and Davis Whitfield (piano).
