Description
The Mindful Performer course explores how mindfulness and meditation can help bring greater confidence and ease to our performances. Each class begins with a classic meditation (Body Scan, Mountain Meditation, Loving Kindness Meditation, etc), moves to a brief talk on weekly topics (The Lizard Brain and Stage Fright, Brain Tendencies, how to work with your brain, etc), and then finishes with in-class performances where the student can start to apply the practices. Each week there is a Weekly Practice and short written reflections on weekly videos. The students also keep a Meditation Journal to keep track of their experience.
