The Recording Musician

Description

In today’s music industry, recording is a skill that all professionals need. In the context of the ensemble, students will learn the fundamental steps and skills necessary for recording music: creating objectives for a recording project, the appropriate use of resources, adaptability to each ensemble’s characteristics, working with other musicians, time management, teamwork, etc. In this course, students will be immersed in an ensemble setting that will work towards achieving experience in understanding the recording process from rehearsal to recording from the perspective of both the studio as well as the at-home musician.

Course credit is available only to Summer Performance Program students who earn a grade of B or higher.
